Donald Blanton is considered by many to be one of the most versitile and creative artists in decades. His versatility is expressed through a variety of medium: painting, sculpting, and designing WearAble Art - a very destinctive hand-crafted jewelry. One exciting feature of Don's work is his Featherstone Collection. This special collection, which features a truly unique composition of design, shape, color and texture, was created by Don after many years of research. It is a technique which gives the appearance of stained glass or marble when coated onto a natural product such as wood, stone, or coconut shell. While his carving is done in wood, stone, and other natural products, his WearAble Art encompasses a variety of medium embellished with wire sculpture, Featherstone, and precious gems.

Don's most recent work, Guarded Emergence was featured in the June 1998 issue of Art World Magazine, and another of his sculptures is currently being exhibited in Russia.
